The International Foundation for Disability Inclusion (IFDI) has announced a journalism fellowship focused on disability inclusion, aimed at supporting in-depth, rights-based reporting on disability in India.
The fellowship is designed for journalists who want to report on disability beyond charity-centric or inspirational narratives, and instead focus on systemic issues, lived experiences, and policy gaps affecting persons with disabilities.
Fellowship Duration and Structure
The fellowship will run for six months. During this period, selected fellows are expected to work on long-form journalistic stories related to disability inclusion.
Each fellow will be required to produce three original stories in English. These stories can be reported for print or digital platforms.
Financial Support and Mentorship
Selected fellows will receive a grant of ₹2,00,000 to support their reporting work during the fellowship period.

Eligibility
The fellowship is open to journalists with a minimum of three years of professional experience, including both staff reporters and independent journalists. Applicants are expected to demonstrate a clear interest in reporting on disability-related issues.
